In a different class called "Vormgeving" (Designing) I had to make a calender. That's it. Make a calender in any
way you'd like and do, having a theme about anything.
I wanted to make a calender with monsters/ flowers. But I didn't want to do it the 'traditional' way where you
could write stuff in as well. I wanted it to be used in everyday life.
But what would I use then? I first thought about how watches did this. They are nowadays more digital. But I wanted it to be shaped like a clock. After a lot of testing in Photoshop I didn't like the idea.
This eventually led to coasters. I could use with a cool design in the middle a coaster as calender.
I used cork coasters that you'd also use to put a pan on. I used a test cork to see which of my markers worked
on the cork/ were visible. Since all of them weren't visible enough I decided to first put white paint over the
cork.
After I got all the flowers ready to paint on the cork I had to first make the backside ready. I wasn't sure if
I should also make that side white, and eventually choose not too.
With my blue marker I'd make the month number big on the cork. And with a black marker I'd write all the dates
down.
